Small Equipment Operator

Canadian Utility Construction is currently seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team in Surrey, BC due to an increase in local projects throughout the Lower Mainland. The Operator is responsible for operating equipment around high pressure underground natural gas lines in tight areas. Our Equipment Operator is a professional operator and is committed to safety, continuous improvement, and ongoing learning and development.

We specialize in a full range of construction and maintenance services for the Natural Gas Distribution and Transmission industry. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3-5 years experience in Equipment Operation, ideally using Backhoe's and small excavators
  • Experience operating heavy equipment around live underground utilities is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License, Class 5 required plus a clean driving record.
  • Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong belief in Live Safe.
  • A willingness to travel to other operational areas as required.
